With Al's permission, we're cross-posting his enthusiastic feature here... I've put this off long enough. Let's talk about 2000AD - the UK comic that exploded onto the scene in 1977, kickstarting the careers of dozens of top-flight writers and artists, and is still going… Full Story »

The ComicNe.ws Tracker &bull Oct 3, 2011
Land of the free, home of the brave and the country with one of the longest running comics in history; of where do I speak? Scotland may not be the first place to come to mind when considering the key players in the world of comics, but this diminutive and somewhat soggy land has had an astonishing influence on both the British and American comic scene. Over the years, we've given the world Grant Morrison and Mark Millar, Judge Dredd and Alan Grant, Frank Quitely and Jamie Grant. Sure, I've drawn characters like Judge Dredd and Batman, but with questionable success; where I'm really at home is at the less glamorous and more outlandish end of… Full Story »

Most comics of the 90's get a bad rep and 2000AD is no exception. As a result this book was of particular interest to me having missed out on that entire decades… Full Story »
